The Library will be closed on the 4th of July. On July 4, 1776, the Founding Father delegates of the Second Continental Congress ratified the Declaration of Independence, which stated that the Thirteen Colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain, and established the United States of America. We hope you enjoy the festivities and the spirit of freedom this year on the 4th!Â
