About Us

Bellaire Public Library Exterior Photograph Guernsey Street entraceFounded in 1927, the Bellaire Public Library serves the greater community of Bellaire, Ohio, a small community nestled between the foothills of the Appalachian mountains and the banks of the Ohio River.

Since 1960, the Library is located in the Mellott Memorial Building, located at the corners of Guernsey and 32nd Street, a stone’s throw away from the historic Great Stone Viaduct Bridge.

The Library serves over 1600 registered borrowers and circulates over 50,000 items a year. A variety of programs is provided for all age groups throughout the year.
