BPL’s Lil’ Bookworm Story Times are designed for children ages 3-5 years old, though all ages are welcome. The programs typically run about a half an hour. Join Miss Bri this fall Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm and Friday mornings at 10:30 am for some reading, crafts, and fun!

Early childhood literacy is important!
Children who are read to regularly exhibit higher activation in areas of the brain that support mental imagery and comprehension of narratives — key skills needed for independent reading comprehension. Story Times incorporate the early literacy skills that children must master before they can learn to read. Library programs have significant positive impacts on early development and help equip children with lifelong learning and literacy skills that help prepare them for school and beyond.
