Monthly Board Meetings:
The Board of Trustees meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library’s Table Room. When a holiday falls on the 3rd Tuesday, then the Board will meet on either the second or fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Public notices of any special meetings of the Board of Trustees are posted no less than 24 hours in advance on both the library’s bulletin board and the website events calendar.
Trustees are appointed for seven-year terms ending on December 31 of the appointment term. Appointments are made by the Board of Education of the Bellaire Local School District. This arrangement may be found in Section 3375.15 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 3375 of the Ohio Revised Code covers libraries and is our governing authority. Bellaire Public Library is a school district library as described in the Ohio Revised Code.
