IMPORTANT DATES
- January 27, 2025 (Monday) – IRS tax filing season begins.
- April 15, 2025 (Tuesday) – IRS tax returns are due.
Note: If you are unable to meet this deadline and need to file an extension, follow these instructions.
DOES THE LIBRARY HAVE TAX FORMS?
FEDERAL TAX FORMS:
The Library currently only receives a limited number of Federal 1040 and 1040-SR (Returns for Seniors). Instruction booklets are available for both at the Library. Any additional tax forms needed can be printed by our staff free of charge. If instruction booklets are needed, the cost is 10 cents per page for printing.
STATE TAX FORMS:
The Library no longer receives state forms. However, any necessary state forms can be printed by our staff, free of charge. If instruction booklets are needed, the cost is 10 cents per page for printing. (Due to city, state, and federal level budget cuts and the increase of taxpayers filing electronically, libraries receive a limited amount of tax forms and booklets.)
VILLAGE OF BELLAIRE TAX FORMS:
Bellaire Income Tax forms (for individuals living in or businesses located in Bellaire) may be picked up from the Village Hall next door to the Library at 3197 Belmont Street or downloaded from the Income Tax Department page of Village’s website. Tax forms for individuals cann be printed by our staff, free of charge.
