Lil’ Bookworms Story Time and Craft

Spring bunny reading book

Our spring Story Times will run throughout March and April, taking a hiatus in May before returning for Summer Reading in June and July.

BPL’s Lil’ Bookworm Story Times and Craft are designed for children ages 3 through Pre-K, though all ages are welcome. These programs typically run for about half an hour. Join Miss Bri for a story, a craft, and lots of fun this spring on Thursday evenings at 5:00 pm and Friday mornings at 10:30 am.

Early childhood literacy is important!

Children who are read to regularly exhibit higher activation in areas of the brain that support mental imagery and comprehension of narratives — key skills needed for independent reading comprehension. Story Times incorporate the early literacy skills that children must master before they can learn to read. Library programs have significant positive impacts on early development and help equip children with lifelong learning and literacy skills that help prepare them for school and beyond.
