Gifts & Donations

book donations

The Library will accept donations of gently used books. Items must be in good condition and no more than ten years old. No textbooks or encyclopedia sets are accepted. Please call the library to arrange dropping off your donations beforehand.

Archival donations

The Library accepts donations of archival material relating to Bellaire, Belmont Co., and the Upper Ohio Valley Region. These materials include historic photographs, letters, advertising, local history books, postcards, and other misc. ephemera. Due to space limitations, the Library generally does not accept large objects and artifacts. Please call and ask to speak to our Archivist (740-676-0244) if you are considering donating materials or email archives@bellairepubliclibrary.org.

Memorial Gifts

Monetary donations may be made in memory of loved ones. Memorial gifts may be made to purchase books or library supplies/equipment. A memorial gift form is available at the circulation desk. For those wishing to make a memorial gift from out-of-town, please call the library and ask to speak to our Technical Services Coordinator about a Memorial Gift (740-676-0244). 

Monetary Gifts

Unrestricted monetary gifts may be made at any time to used where they will make the most impact. Those wishing to make restricted monetary gifts that the donor wishes to be designated for a specific purchase or use may reach out to the Library Director by calling  the Library (740-676-0244) or emailing director@bellairepubliclibrary.org.

Donations to the Library are tax-deductible and help us to advance our mission and enhance access to materials, services and programs.
