The Bellaire Public Library is now accepting applications for a full‑time Youth Services Specialist, a new position designed to expand and strengthen library services for children, teens, and young adults throughout the community.
The Youth Services Specialist will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging programs that support learning, creativity, and digital literacy. With a strong emphasis on STEAM education and hands‑on experiences, the position will oversee the library’s Teen Area, Maker’s Space, and e‑Sports area while also leading outreach programs in schools and community settings.
Qualified applicants should have experience working with children and teens, an interest in STEAM and emerging technologies, strong communication skills, and a desire to create inclusive and welcoming spaces for young people. Prior library experience is preferred, along with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
